Officially Viral!
Well that was unexpected...
I suppose that's what going viral means!
- Takes you by surprise, way beyond a normal result
- No rhyme or reason why it does
- Hard to repeat
What started as a simple video, taken by me in a rush on Friday evening, suddenly appealed to over a hundred thousand people who don't even know me!
I'm almost 45... TikTok just ain't my thing! But I'm on there for business purposes regardless.
I post the odd video to try and get the hang of it, as most small business owners know, video content takes ages to create and edit and rarely gets any traction, but we keep doing it!
We are lucky enough to have a wonderful digital marketing agency which handles our advertising and creative work, and that takes a lot of work and investment!
So needless to say we were taken aback by the runaway simple post over the weekend! We were really surprised by the number of positive encouraging comments and many, many orders which came as a result! It was a joy to engage with so many people, lots reminiscing about their own Turf experiences from childhood. It brings real meaning into why we started this venture!
We have put a lot of hard work, time, money and love into getting our small, family business off the ground, and not without it's hurdles. So, as you can imagine a break like this can really boost a small business into the stratosphere!
I will try to get some more videos created for our TikTok page in future, as apparently I was very wrong about the platform as a business tool, which should encourage other small makers to give it a go too!
