These wee pieces are super for trying out the incense. I would love to have an open fire or wood stove, alas I cannot, a biofuel fire makes the perfect alternative, but lacks the smell of a real fire. As I light one and the smoke begins to curl slowly upwards my mind is transported to a thick stone walled cottage where my grandparents lived.
Don't be fooled by smelling the packet and assume (like me) there will be very little turfiness! When lit these great miniature turf sods give the exact, very distinctive smell of a peat fire... all I need now is a wood wick candle for the auditory element (the snap and crackle from burning wood) an Islay whisky in my hand and I'll be contented!

I used to live on the Scottish coast and since moving inland have missed a blustery walk along the clifftops or a flask of tea sitting on sand at the shore side. This candle is a beautiful reminder of those occasions and instantly transports me to the seaside when I'm unable to reach it in that moment.
The candle scent is fresh and bright with the unmistakable seasidey scent of ozone in the mix too. Perfect for a meditation space a soundscape of lapping waves and soft cry of the odd gull playing in the background. On the beach? I'm there!

Not being much of a coffee person I wasn't too sure about this candle in my set, however my initial thoughts were quite off! This candle smells deliciously of rich freshly brewed coffee (and it's not in an artificial yucky synthetic way either) a second wave of fragrance brings a warming whiff of whiskey.
Perfect for gifting to any coffee fiend friend!

Amazing scent! I love woody, musky smokey fragrance and this is right up my street (t's almost quite a masculine candle due to that fact). I was going to keep this one for myself and now I may have to gift it to my brother as I'm sure he'd love it too

If you have happy memories of turf fire then this goes some way to recreating those times. Burns well and looks lovely on the hearth.

Smells like a campfire in the woods after the rain. Like damp wood. It's a good smell. I like it. Especially suited to rainy days. I should have warned my daughter tho- she thought the house was on fire. 😆 hahaha! We had a good laugh. I've always wondered what it smelled like.
